I know some o' you tohers got the same card in yer BP's....what (stable) driver version you usin'???
Like hyperspace said, tell us your driver revision. Use a reference driver, on-beta. I think 41.09 should be ok, but I don´t have a GF4 MX.cadman wrote:Recently replaced a GF2 Ti w/a GF4 MX, 128 meg AGP card....works great EXCEPT I get random lockups & BSOD blaming "nv_disp"

Manufacturer and currently used driver revision would be helpful. Check the MSI site / FAQ for known problems with your motherboard. When and how does it lock up?CPit wrote:I have also just upgraded to a Geforce 4 MX card and am also getting frequent lockups.
Upgrading BIOS is not too difficult, but I would check other suspects first. Might be an IRQ issue. What is your exact configuration (expansion cards etc)? What operating system are you using? Is ACPI enabled?CPit wrote: I understand it could be a conflict with the motherboard whcih may require a BIOS upgrade.
That may be the case for me at any rate.
Is the MB an MS-6340 by any chance ?
There is a BIOS upgrade which fixes a prob concerning the GeForce MX card hanging.
I am now trying to work out how to go about ubgrading my BIOS (which is why I just joined this forum)
You can safely ignore that.CPit wrote: p.s. I also get the message about nv.disp not being digitally signed when I check DXDIAG
