Yes, it is possible; but it may not be the motherboard’s fault. It’s more likely that the second processor you bought cannot be overclocked to the same extreme as your original.

2 Celeron 366@550 possible ??
Is the cooling for both CPUs equal & premium performance?
It may not be the CPU at all. I bet you could get 550 with the new one in the same socket as the original. And it could be that running both at once gives unstable voltages to one of the CPUs.
Download the utility Motherboard monitor to track the temps & voltages & you will likely discover what is the real problem.
Some capacitor & regulator upgrades may be what's really needed.

Average overclocked speed - 564 Mhz
If you subtract those liquid nitrogen and compressor cooling crazies (up to 913 Mhz with a 366?!?), you may get an average of 550. There are many people who claim their 366s are running stable at 550. I had my celerons running at 550 for a very long time, then I noticed occasional errors when I extracted very large .zips. All stability tests including 3dmark and Prime95 (two instances) were fine.
A better alternative to Prime95 for stability tests is IMO Toast. Toast crashes my computer @550, Prime95 doesn´t. Toast works, because it fails.

Don't forget to actively cool the BX chip set. It made all the difference in the world for my 366's!
I took the "greeie" heat sink off, added arctic silver and an old 486 cooling fan(held in place with a zip tie!) and my "unstable 366's @ 550" went to 571 and after burn-in went to 594 and stayed there for 3 years!
