Was thinking about this one...
The extra connector shouldn't be a factor. I just wanted to know if the PSU was the older ATX-style PSU or, like your's, the newer ATX-style PSU.
Need to know some specific information. With your old PSU, your system would not shutdown properly, some times. At what point during the shutdown process, did the shutdown halt?
What OS are you using? Is ACPI and/or APM enabled in the BIOS?
