bp6 ON post REPORTS 4096 k OF ram

hmm.......... I only had that problem with 4mb on post with 8mb+ modules on 72mb simm memory. Never seen this issue on dimm's
(are you sure the module isnt 4mb?)
Just making sure, I have one of those laying around

72mb = 72PIN modules******* on 8mb or higher simms!
(8, 16 , 32, 64 etc)

Just replaced 3 license servers "triad" from old p3-500/cusl2c -->with VP6's dual 1 ghz 1 gig ram
Its been a long night.....
so its been 12 hours... time 4 bed

When the RAM count stops, it means that a write to an address range followed by an immediate read of same address fails to match the write data.
You could have a short or cut trace in the memory addressing or data lines circuitry

Intresting, I have an older P5TX-Apro atx motherboard (made by elitegroup), I found it going thru some old stuff of mine, it works, but theres something particular about it. the memory counting. If i put a 64mb pc100 into it, it only reads 16mb or 1/4 of the 64mb i install, I have two other 32mb pc100 modules, and it only reads 8mb or 1/4 of the memory i install!!!
The board probably dosent like this high speed memory or what?
the max procssor that works on it is a pentium 233, was looking to see if i could give it to someone, but now that i see this, should trashcan or?
