Disable the o/b UDMA 66 controller

Post by mp3mooch »

New to the Message board, sorry if there is a topic about this already, i haven't looked over the entire board yet.

I haven't had my bp6 in a machine in a while and was wondering if i could disable the UDMA 66 highpoint so i can use my UDMA 100 card,

Thanks,

there is no true way to completely "disable it"

you can upgrade to a new RU bios that doesn't show it.. and you can try to disable it in the device manager (never tried.. mine doesn't even install)

you should be able to use any umda 100 card in the bp6
