I don't think it would work in SMP mode, cause the core of Tualatin Celeron is only for singleprocessor use... :(

It seems that only the first runs of the Tualatin core were UP-only. Specifically, the PIII 1133, 1200 chips were UP, and the Celeron 1200, 1300 as well. The 1133, 1266, 1400 server-version chips (1133 is an overlap, but the others are unique to the "server" version of the chip) are all SMP-capable. Notice that 1400mhz is only in the server line, and therefore is SMP capable. ^_^

My mY My.... :(

Man, just get there to that page and read... :)

Key Features

The Spectra III "T" 1.4GHz and 1.2GHz utilize the latest high speed Intel Celeron Tualatin-core processor with MMX technology, SSE instructions and the full 256K Level 2 cache.
The Spectra III 1.0GHz upgrade integrates the earlier Intel Celeron processor with MMX technology, SSE instructions and only 126K Level 2 cache.
Supports 100MHz Front Side Bus speed systems
Compatible with Socket 370 motherboard architecture
90-day limited warranty
Exceeds recommended speed requirements to run Windows® 2000 and XP.

no in normal words: they have the liscence to produce their own chips, based on Intel cores :)

Celeron Tualatin core is NOT SMP capable.
Yes, it has 256kn L2, the same as PIII 256kb, which is neither SMP capable

the only SMP capable is PIII-S with 512Kb L2

and the speed here does not matter that much. you need to check the cash amount to the chip to distinguish it easily, because all PIII-S are with 512Kb, and ALL other PIII tualatins have 256Kb and not SMP capable :(
PIII-S 512Kb Tualatins are 1133, 1266, 1400MHz.
